A beautiful DH moment

the girls and I have been watching 'Hanging with Delta" on channel v and they showed Darren's performance of Lost Without You at the ARIA awards. It just reminded me what a truly touching and memorable moment that was and the way he sang that song was just remarkable (I still prefer it to Delta's). Also remember the excitement that I felt when he just suddenly appeared too and how glad I was that we were taping! I really hope that Darren and Delta do a duet at some stage in the future.

Yeah Barb it was something special. He took that song to a whole new level. He really shone that night.. highlight of the Arias I reckon. It was a pleasant shock that he just showed up as well.

I hope you're not going to suffer any bad weather as a result of Cyclone Willy off the WA coast? Been a bad run of cyclones atm, I hope Ingrid doesn't reek havok in Darwin, would be scared s-h-i-tless if I was living up that way.

Gawwd I hope not either Barb. We will probably get some lashings of rain here for it. We usually do if theres a cyclone anywhere out there.

Oh yeah that one on Darwin sounds seriousely scary. I would be shitting myself too if I lived that way. Bloody hell nature is really having a bash at the world lately isnt she.

That track finally came on my iPod today when I was driving (have got it set on 'shuffle song' and there're bloody tons of 'em on there *lol*). Anyhoo, I loved it and yep Barb, you're right, it IS better than Delta's version although I never used to think so. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I loved that song before Darren did it - but once he'd sung it I haven't found Delta's version half as good. He just filled it with so much emotion that he made it his own. And there was so much vulnerability in his performance that night.
